Party for Book Lovers & Educator Appreciation

Several of the top professionals in the book publishing world are coming to Linden Tree to share their top picks for summer reads with YOU! When we attend our own industry conferences, we love to hear them describe their favorite seasonal titles and this event is designed to bring that same experience to our customers.

Come join us at Linden Tree on Thursday, May 16, from 4:30 to 5:30PM for this FREE event during the Los Altos Farmers Market.  Parents, educators, kids and book lovers of all ages are welcome! We would appreciate an RSVP to info@lindentreebooks.com so we can provide enough seats.

Five lucky attendees will have their names drawn for some special giveaways, including a Linden Tree gift certificate.

Monday, April 29: Readers’ Theater (Hosted by Tom), 6:45-7:30 p.m.-Reader’s theater is reading a story aloud, like a play, without memorization, props, or a stage. This is a great way to celebrate Screen-Free Week!

Tuesday, April 30: Draw with Author-Illustrator Renee French, 6:45-7:30 p.m. -We are thrilled to welcome back author and illustrator Renee French who will be hosting a special drawing activity with all of the Screen-Free activity participants!

Wednesday, May 1: Origami and Paper Projects, 6:45-7:30 p.m.- Join us for an origami and paper collage workshop! We will create paper flowers, butterflies, and birds collage that will be used in the store as a display! Don’t miss out on the chance to be part of the fun and see your work up in the bookstore!

Thursday, May 2 (also opening night for downtown Los Altos Farmers Market!): Klutz Kit Night (with Klutz employees!), 6:45-7:30 p.m. – Come have fun with the team from Klutz! They are excited to come play with the Linden Tree community. Get great ideas for kits to keep around for rainy days or long car rides.

Friday, May 3: Richard Bliss, aka “The Game Whisperer,” 6:45-7:30 p.m.- We are pleased to welcome Richard Bliss, AKA “The Game Whisperer” to continue the Screen-Free Week fun! He’ll teach us about some of the hottest games on the market and introduce us to some of the best. This great activity coincides with May First Friday in downtown Los Altos, so drop in for a quick round after dinner or stay & play ’til the end.

Details:**At least one parent and one child must participate in each special activity to earn a 10 percent discount. Only one discount per family per event (discounts will be accumulated; e.g. participate in three activities, get one 30 percent discount off purchase, etc.).

Where’s Waldo on his 25th Birthday? Downtown!
