Let us host a one-of-a-kind fund-raiser for you

Details:

Who is eligible to host book fairs at Linden Tree?

Each year Linden Tree partners with preK-12 schools, non-profits, and literacy organizations to host book fairs that encourage literacy and raise money.

How far in advance should we schedule our event?

Linden Tree encourages interested parties to contact us nine weeks in advance to work out schedules and details for your book fair, including special book titles to be ordered in advance, book talks for parents or teachers or both, and time and space for private meetings as needed. We are also open to your suggestions and requests.

When is the best time of day/year to hold a book fair?

Linden Tree is available to host events year-round, subject to availability, including a summer reading program book fair, a welcome-back-to-school fair, holiday fair, whatever you envision, we are here to help you work out the details. We recommend a evening event lasting 2-3 hours, but many organizations have also held successful day-long, casual fundraisers.

Where are the book fairs held?

Linden Tree book fairs are held in the store at 265 State Street in downtown Los Altos.

What merchandise is eligible for book fair sales?

Linden Tree carries an extensive inventory of quality literature for children and adults and supporting merchandise, including Klutz kits, plush puppets, and educational games. As mentioned above, we will be happy to order particular titles for event support. The only exclusions from book fair eligibility are items already on sale and gift certificates.

How much work is involved?

We do most of the work for you. All you need do is promote the book fair to your school or organization and bring refreshments if appropriate. We provide staff members and remain open after hours for private events as needed.

How do the benefits work?

Please contact our events manager to discuss how Linden Tree structures the funding of book fairs.
