Joan Niesen is a sports writer whose work has appeared in magazines, newspapers, and online publications over the course of her decade-long career. She most recently worked as a staff writer at Sports Illustrated, where she covered everything from football and hockey to golf to women's basketball.

Georgia Rucker has illustrated several books including Girl CEO, My Favorite Shoes, My Favorite Purse, and the Allegra Biscotti series. Her doodles can be found in many of the books she also designs from her office in Madison, WI.
