HRH: So Many Thoughts on Royal Style

Veteran fashion journalist Elizabeth Holmes expands her award-winning Instagram stories series, "So Many Thoughts," into a nuanced look at the style, branding, and positioning of the four most prominent contemporary British Royals: Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Diana, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle.

Royal women wield a unique, quiet kind of power. They use their clothing choices and their styling preferences to create a visual brand that is at once aspirational and accessible, and to project a sartorial statement that encompasses their values, priorities, and beliefs. For Britain's modern monarchy, fashion is often their most powerful and prominent political statement. Filled with hundreds of 4-color photos and presented in a luxurious, coffee table-ready package, HRH will be split into four sections, each covering one of the four royals. The book will build off of Elizabeth's Instagram series, "So Many Thoughts" (SMT), by expanding her signature royal commentary to include deep-dive essays on both the royal women she studies and broader topics such as the cultural history of the hat and the role of social media in royal commentary. And of course, HRH will include plenty of the iconic photo captions that SMT fans have come to love.
