About the Author

Liz Kleinrock (she/her) is an author and an antibias and antiracist educator, consultant, and facilitator for schools, organizations, and companies across the country. A transracial adoptee, Liz was born in Korea and has lived all over the United States. She is the author of Start Here, Start Now: A Guide to Antibias and Antiracist Work in Your School Community. She currently resides in Washington, DC, with her husband and two bunnies and continues to advocate for a more equitable world through her work with Teach and Transform.  Chaaya Prabhat (she/her) is an illustrator and lettering artist from Chennai, India, who is currently working out of Goa. She has worked on a number of picture books, including The Culture of Clothes, written by Giovanna Alessio; The Best Diwali Ever, written by Sonali Shah; Bracelets for Bina’s Brothers, written by Rajani LaRocca; and Anni Dreams of Biryani, written by Namita Moolani Mehra.
