Series Overview: LITTLE GOLDEN BOOKS have been loved by children for more than 80 years. When they were first published in 1942, high-quality books for children hadn’t been available at a price most people could afford. Little Golden Books changed that! Priced at just 25 cents and sold where people shopped every day, they caused an instant sensation and were soon purchased by the hundreds of thousands. Created by such talented writers as Margaret Wise Brown and Richard Scarry, Little Golden Books have helped millions of children develop a lifelong love of reading. Today, Little Golden Books feature beloved classics such as The Poky Little Puppy and Scuffy the Tugboat, hot licenses, and new original stories—the classics of tomorrow, ready to be discovered between their sturdy cardboard covers and gold-foil spines.

About the Author

Jessica Yoon is a Korean American children’s author who sneaks in writing late at night or while her kids are at school. As a passionate advocate of representation in children's literature, she draws from her experiences as a child of multiple cultures. She is an active member of SCBWI and the Harrisburg Asian Writers Collective. In 2023, she was awarded the Anti-Bias Book Bearer Scholarship by the Highlights Foundation. You can usually find her in sweatpants and a messy bun, slightly dehydrated and eating snacks like a gremlin.

Suji Park is an author/illustrator born in South Korea and grew up in New Jersey. She graduated from the Parsons School of Design in 2015, where she developed a unique style combining whimsy, emotion, and a touch of wanderlust. She enjoys bringing in a unique perspective as a Korean-American, incorporating her bicultural experiences into her art. She seeks to spread positivity, humor, and diversity through her work. When not working, she can be found walking her dogs or napping with her giant cat, Milky.
