The Paragon Games

As Ella and Jason return for Year Four at the Arcanum training institute, the world is in turmoil. The Marvellian and Conjure communities have been shattered by learning the truth of the shocking death of the school's Conjure architect. Brigit is still missing. Masterji Thakur is gone. Worst of all, the villainous Gia Trivelino brews a nefarious plot to recreate monstrous marvels. And the key to powering her plan, a stockpile of twilight stars, has been stolen from the Conjure Underworld.

As violence and political upheaval erupt, and Ella and Jason search for Brigit, the pair get selected to participate in the year-long Paragon Games, the Headmarvellers’ attempt to distract the student body from the world’s chaos. The prize for the winner: a wish granted. With Ella being tugged in a dozen directions, she must compete in the games, beat Gia to locating the stolen twilight stars, and help build a bridge between two communities on the precipice of war.
