Take an animal-filled adventure across a wide range of U.S. habitats. From cliff-diving puffins to desert-dwelling snakes, kids will discover that the United States has LOTS of weird, wild, and rare animals.

Did you know there is a lizard that can shoot blood out of its eyes?

Or that some bats can eat 1,200 bugs in one hour?

Have you ever seen a worm that lives in blocks of ice?

The craziest part is ... these animals might live near you!

The United States is full of unique animals; there are creepy creatures, vicious hunters, and brilliant builders. You can even find some of the fastest, smartest, and hungriest species on Earth!

In this book, you will discover creatures with super senses, disgusting diets, and incredible talents! The book balances science with silliness, with categories like “Smartest Species” and “Creepy Creatures.”

You’ll find out how to safely observe wild animals, which species are at risk, and how to help endangered animals survive. Soon, you’ll be an animal expert, and maybe you will start to notice the wonderfully weird, wild, or rare animals in your own backyard!
